Google of ecommerce websites has maintained a separate index, Froogle, specifically online shop websites. This index permits the shopper to compare prices and to reach an e commerce websites that would not otherwise be found. Froogle lists the most fresh item requests on the main page. While conducting a search, the search engine results page is laid out by: price range, brands, related searches at the top; a main results listing in the middle; and sponsored links list to the right of the screen. Sponsored ads are provided through Google Adwords.
For listing any products in Froogle, a product title is required which is the same keyword that is used on the product's web page. Froogle may also ask for the product's manufacturing and model number, it is important for making a more accurate price comparison. Further a description is required which includes the use of your website's main keywords. The description for product should be unique, original and not copied off another website. You should also upload a photo of the product along with the price of the product.
This product detail that is submitted to Froogle can be updated if required. However it may be earlier, especially if the site consists of lots of different products, to include a Froogle Data Feed. The Froogle data feed is like a Google site maps xml feed the only difference is that the file is tab delimited in a spreadsheet format rather than in xml format. These data feeds should be updated on monthly basis otherwise pages get expire.
Ranking the product results pages are quite similar to the ranking methods used in organic search engine optimization and therefore similar techniques are used to get a Froogle listing at the top of results pages. However, Froogle's search engine and Google's regular search engine remain separate applications not affecting each other. Contact US
